Positions Available
Cabin Counselor
Must have completed one year of college, be 18 years old or older and have a sincere desire to work with children. An on call 24 hour a day position, responsible for a cabin of seven campers as well as daily activity instruction, assisting with evening programs, and leading overnight camping trips.
Co-Counselor
Must be a Rising Senoir in High School or a Rising Freshman in College. Preference for GRP Alumnae Campers, Expeditioners.
Priority will be given to those that can stay the Full Summer Camp: June 7 August 16, 2008. Staff Training, May 26 June 6, 2008 (flexible with school closings).
Responsibilities: Adopt-a-Cabin, counselor aid, activity assistants, kitchen helpers, campout specialists, and maintenance chores...and other duties as assigned.
Mentor
A “professional naturalist” who is a college graduate or has equivalent experience. Staff in this role must have expertise, experience, and love teaching children in an outdoor environment. Responsibilities include leading daily field studies throughout the preserve, leading or assisting in afternoon activities, and coordinating evening programs. Each mentor also adopts a camper cabin for the summer and serves as a valuable advisor and support system for the cabin counselor and campers. (position openings in the summer and in the fall)
Internships
Please ask about our internship availability. Earn internship/college credit while working in a position with Green River.
Other Positions
Camp (Registered) Nurse, Kitchen Staff, Camp Historian/Webmaster, and Office Assistant.
Expedition Staff
Must be 21 years old or older and have a sincere desire to work with teenagers in an extraordinary exploration journey. Each 2-week backpacking adventure offers a diversity of activities including hiking, kayaking, canoeing, rock climbing, wilderness survival, and much more.
